The coming civic polls would be mainly a straight contest between the ruling Congress and Zoram Nationalist party (ZNP) alliance and the opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) and the Mizoram People's Conference (MPC) combine while the BJP also decided to contest four seats and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) one seat.
Scrutiny of the nomination papers would be undertaken tomorrow and the last date of withdrawal of candidature is on Wednesday.
