This followed a meeting held on May 3 at the Land Revenue & Settlement Directorate Conference Hall during which the rules prepared by the Department in accordance with the Mizoram (Land Revenue) Act, 2013 was accepted for use. According to Mizonews.
Net, the Draft Rules, before it was accepted for use, had been studied in-depth by the Consultative Committee, making amendments wherever necessary.
Explanations on various laws entailed by the Act including different forms have been presented in the Draft Rules. The Act has received the assent of the state governor. It will now be sent to Law department.
The meeting was attended by Parliamentary Secretary Lt. Col (Rtd) Z S Zuala, Consultative Committee Member; Joseph Lalhimpuia MLA; Principal Secretary LR&S R. L. Rinawma IAS; Law Secretary Singthanga besides senior officers of Revenue Department.
Consultative Committee also discussed about the need for more Revenue Technical Staffs at Civil Sub Division and suggested creation of more posts for the purpose.
