Burmese families driven out of Mizoram

About 120 families fromRangvamual and Phun Cawng villages have driven out by the Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA);one of the largest non-governmental organization in Mizoram, India.
The Aizawl Post newspaper reported that the undocumented migrant workers from Burma had been warned in a formal letter theymust leave the arealocated about 20 miles from the capital of Aizawl,byMay 15.
Those who were not able to return to Burma are taking shelter with relatives in other areas of the state, according to one person that didn’t want their name used.
Some families can’t return due to financial constraints, others worry about their security.
The exact number of migrant workers, many of which are employed in wine factories, is unknown.
