UK can to work with Mizoram: Deputy High Commissioner

British Deputy High Commissioner for Eastern India Scott Furssedonn Wood today said UK can work with Mizoram in sectors like human resources and skill development.

Wood, who was on his maiden visit to this north eastern state, told Chief Secretary L Tochhong that a strong bond existed between the people of Mizoram and the people of UK especially on religion.

He said that he would send experts to Mizoram to seek cooperation after studying the resources available.

"The cooperation could be on human resources and skill development for which UK has presence of experts in the north east region," he said.

The Deputy High Commissioner also called on Governor Vakkom Purushothaman. Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla will host a dinner tonight in his honour.
