An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 4.0 on the Richter
scale, shook the border region between the Indian state of Mizoram and
Bangladesh this morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The
quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 22.6°N and longitude 92.5°E,
occurred at 0703 hours at a focal depth of 5 km, an IMD bulletin added.
