Jan 24Andhra Pradesh beat Uttar Pradesh in the women's section of the 11th National Youth Volleyball championship now underway at Angamaly near Kochi. Andhra Pradesh humbled Uttar Pradesh 25-22, 25-18 and 25-15. In the mens section, Mizoram defeated Chattisgarh 19-25, 26-24, 25-21 and 25-19. UP emerged victorious against Gujarat 25-20, 25-18, and 25-8, while Uttaranchal overcame stiff resistance from Andaman & Nicobar Islands to score 25-22, 12-25, 25-18, 17-25 and 15-8.
